Men of the church meet on the second Saturday of the month at 8am at the church to share breakfast, fellowship and devotions. Members the Men’s club take turns cooking breakfast.
A yearly Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser is held in March. Proceeds are used to support local and global missions. The Men’s Club has participated in several larger projects that they have enlisted the help of the congregation in completing.
This past year, 7 school desks were built and 27 school bags were sewn and filled with basic school supplies. All of these items were donated to the Midwest Distribution Center at Chatham, IL, where they are then shipped to areas of the world where schools are being built.
The Men’s Club also was instrumental in bringing GED volunteer training to Wilmington to train adults to assist young adults in studying for their GED test in hopes of equipping them with the needed skills to improve their employment ability, thus improving the quality of life for them and their families.
